iPhone | Jailbreak your 2.0.1 firmware 3G iPhone (Windows)
This tutorial is meant for those who want to jailbreak their 2.0.1 firmware 3G iPhone in Windows. You will require WinPwn tool to jailbreak your 3G iPhone. Before reading the tutorial, make sure that you uninstall previous version of WinPwn before installing the new one and you are using iTunes 7.7. The only valid file is *5A347_Restore.ipsw and no other image file will work with this tutorial.
Note: If you are using Windows XP, download and install .Net Framework
Step 1:
As a first step, create a folder on the desktop called Pwnage. Download Winpwn 2.0.0.4 or Winpwn 2.0.0.4 and the latest 2.0.1 firmware and place all the files here.
Step 2:
Now, extract the WinPwn package and install it by running the executable file. After the WinPwn has been successfully installed, you will notice its icon on the desktop. Double click the icon to open the application.
Step 3:
Now, click on “Browse .ipsw” button and locate the latest 2.0.1 firmware file for your iPhone. The file name will look like “iPhone1,2_2.0.1_5B108_Restore.ipsw”. Select the file and press open.
Step 4:
WinPwn will now check the firmware to make sure that it is valid. After it has checked the file, it will display a message saying, “Be sure to connect an iPhone 3G”. After you see this message on the application window, WinPwn has confirmed the firmware file you selected. Now, press the “IPSW Builder” button.
Step 5:
After you press the “IPSW Builder” button a window will appear. From that window select the “Applications” tab. In Applications tab, make sure that you select “Cydia” and if you are an AT&T user then DO NOT select YouTube Fix.
Step 6:
If you want to change the original boot logo, then select the “Custom Images” tab. Here, you can select the image which you want to replace with the original boot logo image. The image you select must have 320 * 480 resolution or below and they should be either in Grayscale format with Alpha channel or RGB format.
Step 7:
Now, move to “Advanced” tab and select Activate Phone option. This will help you in unlocking your iPhone to work with any service provider.
Step 8:
Finally, move to the “Partition resizer” tab. Remember to set the partition size to 512MB. If you set something below or other than this then it might not work properly.
Step 9:
When you are done setting the custom option, press the “Build .ipsw” located at the bottom left corner to build your custom ipsw firmware file. Finally, save your customized .ipsw file in the desired folder. Once the file has been saved successfully, you will receive a message saying “Successfully created IPSW file”.
Step 10:
Now, you will return to the main application window. From there press the “iPwner” button.
Step 11:
Now, select the custom firmware file you just created and click the open button to select that file.
Step 12:
After a while, you will receive a message saying, “Your iTunes has been Pwned!”.
Step 13:
Now, we will try to restore your iPhone using iTunes. For that you will need to put your iPhone into DFU mode manually.

Step 14:
Now, press the “Shift” key and press the Restore button in iTunes. Now, select your custom IPSW firmware file which you created earlier.
After 15-20 minutes, your iPhone will be restored to 2.0.1 firmware. You have now successfully unlocked your iPhone.
