iPhone | Jailbreak Your 2.0.1 firmware iPhone using QuickPwn (Windows)

This tutorial is based on QuickPwn command line version to jailbreak your 2.0.1 firmware iPhone in Windows. Since, it is beta software it might not work on some iPhones.
Recommended solution is to use the WinPwn version.

Step 1:
Click here to download QuickPwn to your desktop.

Step 2:
Create a folder named QuickPwn  and extract the downloaded file to this folder.

Step 3:
Now, download the respective 2.0.1 firmware file i.e. 2G or 3G compatible firmware file for your iPhone and move it to the QuickPwn folder.

iPhone 2G: iPhone1,1_2.0.1_5B108_Restore.ipsw
iPhone 3G: iPhone1,2_2.0.1_5B108_Restore.ipsw

Step 4:
If you want to replace the logo images for your iPhone, then replace logo.png and recovery.png files with your own custom images. The image you select must have 320 * 480 resolution or below and they should be either in Grayscale format with Alpha channel or RGB format.


Step 5:
Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes. Once iTunes has detected your iPhone you can start the jailbreak process. Go to QuickPwn folder and double click either iPhone 2G.bat, iPod touch.bat, or iPhone 3G.bat depending on the type of device you are using.


If prompted click the “Run” button to launch the batch file.


Step 6:
On the command window, read the instructions and follow them carefully. After you turn off your iPhone, press the “Enter” button to continue with the process.


Step 7:
Now, QuickPwn will guide you through the process to put your iPhone into DFU mode. Read and follow the instructions carefully. When you are ready press the ‘y’ key on your keyboard to continue with the process.

Step 8:
When you have successfully put the iPhone into DFU mode, you will notice a number of operations being performed. After the 8th operation, you will receive a message saying, “Press any key to continue”. Thereafter, press any key to close the command window and your iPhone will display a turning wheel after which it will be JailBroken within a few minutes.

Once the iPhone reboots, you have successfully JailBroken your iPhone.

This tutorial is meant for those who want to jailbreak their 2.0.2 firmware 2G or 3G iPhone in Windows. You will require QuickPwn tool to jailbreak your 3G iPhone. Before reading the tutorial, make sure that you uninstall previous version of QuickPwn before installing the new one and you are using iTunes 7.7.

Note: Connect your iPhone to the computer and make sure that iTunes has detected your iPhone before performing the update.

Step 1:
Download QuickPwnGUI from here. Create QuickPwn  folder on the desktop and extract the downloaded zip file to that folder.

Also, download the 2.0.2 firmware for your 2G or 3G iPhone. Place the firmware file inside the QuickPwn folder for convenience.

2.0.2 (2G): iPhone1,1_2.0.2_5C1_Restore.ipsw
2.0.2 (3G): iPhone1,2_2.0.2_5C1_Restore.ipsw

Step 2:
Open the QuickPwn and double click the QuickPwnGUI120.exe file to launch the application. Now, you will be asked to select your iPhone version i.e. 2G or 3G. After making a selection, click the blue arrow on the right corner to continue.

Step 3:
Now, select the correct version of your iPhone firmware that you have just downloaded to QuickPwn  folder.
 

Step 4:
Make sure select the correct iPhone firmware because if you select the wrong version, QuickPwn  will notify you about the same. If everything goes right, you will notice a big green tick mark. Now, click the blue arrow to continue

Step 5:
In this window, you will get the option to select options like Add Cydia, Add Installer, and Replace Boot Logos. You can select any of these according to your choice. After making a selection, click the blue arrow to continue.

Step 6:
Finally, Click the “Go” button to execute the process and the QuickPwn will launch the command line application window. Follow the instructions carefully as this is the most crucial time of the entire process.


Step 7:
First, you will be asked to power off your iPhone. When done press “Enter” button on your keyboard once.
 

Step 8:
Now, QuickPwn will display you the procedure to manually put your iPhone in DFU mode. Read the instructions carefully and when you are ready press the “Y” key on your keyboard to start the process.

Step 10:
You will notice the number of operations being performed on your iPhone. After the 8th operation, you will notice a message saying, “Please wait while your iPhone is Jailbroken". “Press any key to continue…” after this you can successfully close the command window.

On your iPhone you will notice a turning wheel and within few minutes your phone will reboot. You have now successfully jailbroken your 2.0.2 firmware iPhone. If you have a 2G iPhone and would like to unlock simply install and run BootNeuter from Cydia.
